June,2009  Class Newsletter

What happens when...

... you break a person’s crook you borrowed during running your dog?
You’re obligated to buy a new crook to replace the one you broke. When you do so you may keep the broken crook or if you wish, give it back to the person who owned it before you broke it.

... somebody runs your dog for you or is helping you run your dog and they break their crook?
You’re obligated to buy a new crook to replace the one they broke.

... during your run your dog bites and damages a sheep?
You’re obligated to assist in the repairing of that damaged sheep. You also need to make a contribution to the repair kit to replace the supplies used in repairing the sheep. If we have medical assistance by a trained technician, either a vet or a trained health care worker, it is a nice gesture to pay for their lesson that day.

...the sheep jump the fence and run off?
Jerry  will attempt to locate the sheep and bring them back. If there’s an unreasonable delay of class, you need to assist in bringing the sheep back. If they cannot be located and brought back to class, you have to pay for the lost sheep.

June's Class Newsletter late...

You might wonder why the Class Newsletter's June issue was a couple of days late. The reason is that I was off trialing., from Friday May 30th till  May31st. It was well worth the few day's delay.

Matt's Vacation...

Matt will be on vacation the week of  June 8th returning June 16th. You're probably going to experience some delays at class as I return to handling everything myself.

When am I going to take a vacation? I have not in the decades that I have been holding class.
